This is a action packed paranormal romance. This is the third book in the Shifter Fates series. This and all previous books pick up where the last one leaves off, so you need to read the other books first to understand the whole story. I recommend this for adults only due to the sexual content. Elle is mated to three, but have mercy those Alphas never allow her a moment of peace. Elle is pregnant with 5 pups, which makes me wonder about Declan's pups, well played... Laila well played. I can not wait to see what happens next.Elle is neck deep in decisions. She will do anything to keep her people safe, including risking herself. But now she is carrying pups and she needs to put their safety first. Possessive doesn't even explain how the Alphas are towards Elle now. Including Declan who was the one that rather be in his wolf form alone. Declan is starting to make his brothers question his actions when he is always dominating the time they get to spend with Elle. i was given a copy for my honest review yup love this series soooo much prepaire yourselfs this is going to be a bumpy ride theres even more action, suspense, twist, surprises , and sexy times this one is also darker then the other two but i loved it even more elle is a very pregnant badass we also get alot out of Declan in this book hes more talkative and my emotions are all over the place i need more i must know whats going to happen <3

So, I've read this whole series now including this one now. Compared to the others? This is NOTHING compared to those. Things are really strained with this war coming on. So many things are complicated. Elle is totally stressed with a lot of things. Being pregnant with 5 pups. 2 are Cole's, 2 are Declan's, and 1 is Jaxon's. It's a tough time all around. I will warn there is a cliffhanger which I had a feeling. Bummer. LOL. It took me a bit to get this read because its such a complex story. Declan is actually talking a little more in this one. Thats a good thing but its confusing everyone. ) Tiel is an evil jackhole big surprise there. After Missy is taken hostage and according to a ransom note they want Elle. All hell breaks loose after that little jewel. Something weird happened and Elle seems to be poisoned but the pups are being protected somehow...probably a spell she put on them. Shes got Daemon poison in her. She's now in a coma and according to her other uncle Jethia I think if I have it all straight lol only Declan can save her because wait for it...he's half Daemon. Dayum...Declan has some major mojo! He's The Daemon. Not sure exactly what it means but it cant be good! Talk about a world war! Tiel is truly evil...just cant fathom he was able to do something like that. Now the the world knows...Elle is seen as the bad guy who cost the lives of millions of people and she didnt do anything to help. So, the very end was weird. Not sure who that character is but I guess we'll find out in the next book. ) I enjoyed this very much. Great read. This is such a very complex series. Its brilliantly written. This world Laila has created is just awesome and jaw dropping at times...in a good way!
Declan’s Decent by Laila Raimes third book in the Shifter Fates series
Secrecy, intrigue, sorrow, love, loss, war and death. With this installment I told myself to sit back and enjoy the adventure. I was reading along (finished in 1 sitting) and before I knew it I was on the last chapter. In my head I’m thinking this can’t end here and when I turn the last page on my e-reader I stood up and screamed, “are you kidding me?”
As with the other books in this series the complex relationship between Elle, Jaxon, Cole and Declan is a refreshing twist for fated mates. The depth of this story is amazing and it leaves me wonder how this will end? At this point there are many loose ends with Tiel, Adolf and Mary all of the main background players that have played with the fates of our happy wolf family.
The world created by Laila is very detailed with many different types of shifters, wielders, fae, humans and realms to navigate her readers through. Elle appears to be almost immortal and is deeply in love with her three mates. We find that she is loving, caring and will do anything to ensure her family is safe.
Declan is not what he seems, but then again if you have read the other books in this series that is a common theme. Nothing is as it seems. The strong relationship being built between Elle and Declan is interesting and makes me wonder if he will hurt her or save her. Of course we don’t find out in this book but we do get a glimpse of the possible outcome by the last chapter. It also left me wondering what happens next.
If you have not read this series I highly recommend you do. This is a paranormal erotic series and it will not disappoint. Laila will leave you wanting more.
