This story didn't really begin as a story at all: it was simply Bill yapping about his file of his favorite links for his writing. "How to" links or links for helpful advice - however you want to say it. Then links to his favorite authors. I almost stopped reading because I was not the least bit interested in his favorite links, but I really had to see if that was all this book had to offer.Hang in there. Once he finally stops making a list of his favorite links, there IS a story to read. Even that isn't all that spectacular at the beginning, but it has a GREAT ending! One that actually makes it worth it to have stuck with reading it through all the lists. Hard to believe, but true.
It only takes a few minutes so give it a chance.

Very imaginative, and unexpected ending. I have read other stories by this author and I love them all. Keep up the good works, hope to read more soon.
. . .if I didn't happen to be one of its principal characters. Bill Bernico has a sharp eye for satire and his own way of looking at the world. He's one of a kind, and so's his story.
This was a quick, fun read! I know this author so I swallowed the story hook, line, and sinker. It was aubiographical from the start. What a funny twist at the end! Try it, you'll like it!

This was a great short story. I know this would happen to me if I idolized someone like that. Good read.
I like to have short stories to read while waiting for something. I had this story on my phone and read it while waiting for a doctor to appear. How can so few pages contain such a fun story? Only if it is written by a skilled author. I think Bill Bernico had fun writing this and I sure had fun reading it.
I've read almost all of the Cooper stories and several of Mr. Bernico's short stories and none have disappointed me. They're great for a coffee break or a few minutes to relax.
